Seeing Law Student Hot Mama's pictures of her swinger baby reminded me that Jacob also discovered the swinger in HIM last Sunday!
It was his first time in a swing and he absolutely LOVED it (as you can tell by the tiny feet, kicking out of control)!
You can't see her but you can HEAR Katelyn in the swing next to him, begging to be let out so she could go play on the slide. The question is.... is she BEGGING to be let out because she really, desperately NEEDS to play on the slide right this very minute? Or is she BEGGING to be let out because she's terrified of being in the swing and only gave it a go because her baby brother was so game to try? If you guessed the latter than *ding, ding, ding* you win a prize! Katelyn has been afraid of those "baby swings" at the playgrounds ever since she herself was a baby. She can swing on the "big kid swing" just fine but put her in that "baby swing" with her feet dangling a foot or so above ground, with no control over how high she is pushed, and she just goes over the edge! Her eyes grow round as saucers, her knuckles are white from clenching the chain so tightly and her voice goes up a couple of octaves as she yells at us to GET HER OUT OF THERE! Katelyn is most certainly NOT a thrill-seeker in any way, shape or form! Jacob, on the other hand, is a different story. If his immediate infatuation with the swing is any indication, he will be keeping me on the edge of my seat (and possibly on the brink of a heart-attack) with all the stunts that he will be pulling in his lifetime!
